
Exercise: The Freeze Moment
Freeze!
Answer the following three questions in writing:
What are you thinking?
What are you feeling?
What are you doing?
You have just completed the “Freeze Moment”.
In Frame 3 of the Alignment Model, we strive to achieve “Self-Awareness” - an acquired skill which can be learned by practicing the “Freeze Moment” on a regular basis.
Once we begin to observe and recognize our own behavior, we can begin to make changes. It sounds easy, but is often very difficult to do.
Your challenge... schedule a reminder in your calendar to pop-up three times per day to do the “Freeze Moment”.
Over time, you will be amazed at how much better you become at observing your behavior and why you do things. Then you can begin to change your behavior so it is in alignment with your “Ideal Self”.
